Scan Handwritten Notes to a Black and White PDF

PDF100% freeFiles never leave your device

The short answer

Photograph each page, add the photos below, and the scanner whitens the paper, darkens the ink and trims the edges. Black and white is the default because it makes the smallest, clearest PDF for pen on paper. Shadows from a phone become plain white.

Frequently asked questions

Why does pencil writing fade in black and white?

Pencil is light grey, so a strong black and white setting can drop it. Lower the strength, or use the Grey scan filter, which keeps pencil strokes.

Will the PDF be small?

Yes. Black and white pages squeeze well, so a notebook of 20 pages is often a few hundred KB to a couple of MB.
