Frequently asked questions
Which PDFs can I change?
PDFs made on a computer, such as from Word, Google Docs or a bank statement, have words you can tap. A PDF that is really a photo or a scan has no words to tap. On those you can still cover a part with Erase and write on top with Add words.
Will the new words look exactly like the old ones?
They will be close but not always identical. The tool writes with built-in fonts (Plain, Book or Typewriter) and copies the size and the colour of the old words. Pick Bold, Slanted or a different size yourself if it does not match.
Can I write in Hindi or another Indian language?
Not yet. For now you can write English letters, numbers and common signs. The tool tells you if you type a letter it cannot write.
Are the old words really gone?
By default they are only covered by a patch, so someone who knows how could still find them inside the file. If the old words are private, tick Make the file safe before saving. The pages then become pictures and the old words are gone for good, but you can no longer select the text.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The work happens in your browser, so the file stays on your phone or computer.
