About this internship
From DRDE's advertisement DRDE/HRD/Paid Intern/2026/03 (dated 15 October 2026): the lab invites Indian citizens studying graduate or postgraduate courses to a six-month paid internship starting on 1 January 2027. There are 3 places in Biological Sciences, 3 in Chemical Sciences and 2 in Engineering.
The stipend is ₹5,000 a month, paid in two equal parts of ₹15,000 after 3 months and after 6 months. No boarding or lodging expense is paid, and the lab does not provide accommodation. Interns give a progress report after 3 months and a project report after 6 months, and get a completion certificate after six months.

Who can apply
- Indian citizen with at least 75% marks (or 7.5 CGPA) from an AICTE or UGC approved college or university
- Below 28 years of age on 14 November 2026
- Biological Sciences: M.Sc. or equivalent (3rd or 4th semester), or B.Tech (7th or 8th semester), in biotechnology, microbiology, pharmacology, toxicology or immunology
- Chemical Sciences: M.Sc. or equivalent (3rd or 4th semester) in organic, inorganic or analytical chemistry
- Engineering: B.E. or B.Tech (7th or 8th semester) in electronics, mechanical, information technology or computer science
- A recent referral or sponsorship letter from your college or university
