About this scholarship
Student applications for 2026-27 are open on the National Scholarship Portal from 1 June 2026 to 31 October 2026.
You need a One Time Registration (OTR) number to apply on the National Scholarship Portal. Check the full eligibility, amount and documents in the scheme's guidelines on the portal before you apply.
Who can apply
- Specially-abled student admitted to the first year of a diploma course, or the second year through lateral entry, in an AICTE-approved institution
- All eligible students receive the scholarship (there is no seat limit)
- A family income limit applies. See the scheme guidelines
Documents you may need
- One Time Registration (OTR) number
- Aadhaar or Aadhaar enrolment ID (needed for the OTR)
- More documents are listed in the scheme guidelines
- Disability certificate or UDID details (students with a disability must first log in to the UDID portal and give consent, as the portal says)
