About this scholarship
Student applications for 2026-27 are open on the National Scholarship Portal from 1 June 2026 to 31 October 2026. The portal lists the degree and the diploma scheme separately, with the same dates.
You need a One Time Registration (OTR) number to apply on the National Scholarship Portal. Check the full eligibility, amount and documents in the scheme's guidelines on the portal before you apply.
Who can apply
- An orphan, or a child whose parent or parents died of Covid-19, or a ward of Armed Forces or Central Paramilitary Forces personnel martyred in action
- Family income from all sources not more than ₹8 lakh a year
- Not already receiving another central, state or AICTE scholarship
Documents you may need
- One Time Registration (OTR) number
- Aadhaar or Aadhaar enrolment ID (needed for the OTR)
- More documents are listed in the scheme guidelines
- Income certificate
- Bonafide certificate from the institution
