ICAR National Talent Scholarship (Undergraduate)

By Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)

About this scholarship

The NTS guidelines on the portal (a 2016 edition) say the scholarship is for a student of a Bachelor's or Master's programme admitted through the All India entrance examination at an Agricultural University located outside the student's State of domicile. It is awarded for one year first and renewed for the rest of the course if academic performance and conduct stay good.

The student must study full time, must not take up any job even part time, must not accept another scholarship during the course, and keeps the scholarship only with a minimum grade average set by the university. Payment goes through the college by direct bank transfer.

Amounts in that edition are old, so none is listed: check the current guidelines on the portal. The National Scholarship Portal shows applications open from 1 June to 31 October 2026.
