Frequently asked questions
How is the SGPA needed worked out?
With credits: (target CGPA × all credits − current CGPA × credits done) ÷ credits still to come. With a plain average it is the same sum counted in semesters instead of credits.
Can I still raise a low CGPA late in the degree?
Yes, but each semester moves it less once many credits are done. The tool shows the best CGPA you can reach even with the top SGPA in every semester left, so you know what is realistic.
Which method should I choose?
Most universities weight each semester by its credits. A few average the SGPAs. Your marksheet or rulebook says which, and the tool lets you switch between them.
Does it count a backlog I will clear?
Not directly. Use your CGPA exactly as your latest marksheet shows it, and count the backlog's credits in the coming semesters if you will take them again.
