Write an Amount in Words for a Cheque
The short answer
Type the amount and the tool writes it as a cheque does. For example, 45,000.50 reads as Forty-Five Thousand Rupees and Fifty Paise Only. Copy it into the amount-in-words line and draw a line through any space left. Banks may differ a little in wording, so follow your bank's guide.
Digits only. Commas, spaces and ₹ are fine. Use a dot for paise.
Everything runs in your browser. What you type is not sent anywhere.

Frequently asked questions
What if the words and the figures differ?
Banks usually treat the amount in words as correct, but a cheque with a mismatch may be returned. Check both before you sign.
Should I write the amount in capital letters?
Either is accepted. Choose the CAPITALS option in the tool if you prefer, because capitals are harder to alter.
