Compress Image to 100 KB
The short answer
100 KB is roomy for a photo shown on a screen, so the picture usually keeps its look. Add your image below with the 100 KB target set. The tool lowers the quality in small steps, and makes the picture smaller only if that is not enough.
PNG photos are saved as JPG or WebP so they get smaller.
We lower the quality, and the picture size if needed, until it fits. 1 KB is counted as 1,000 bytes, which is safe whichever way a website counts.
Your files stay on your device. This tool runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions
Is 100 KB enough for a scanned marksheet?
For one page at normal size, usually yes. If the portal wants a PDF instead, make the PDF first and shrink it with the PDF Compressor, because a PDF has its own size.
Should I choose JPG or WebP?
Choose JPG. WebP is smaller, but many upload forms list only JPG or PNG and reject anything else.
