Compress Image to 50 KB
The short answer
Add your photo below. The tool is already set to a 50 KB target, so it lowers the quality, and the picture size only if needed, until the file is under 50 KB. Then save it and upload it on the form.
PNG photos are saved as JPG or WebP so they get smaller.
We lower the quality, and the picture size if needed, until it fits. 1 KB is counted as 1,000 bytes, which is safe whichever way a website counts.
Your files stay on your device. This tool runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions
Will my photo look bad at 50 KB?
A normal face photo at about 200 by 230 pixels looks fine at 50 KB. A very large photo has to lose more detail, so resize it to the pixel size the form wants first, then compress it.
The form says the file must be between 20 KB and 50 KB. What now?
The Exam Photo & Signature Maker lets you type both the smallest and the largest size, so the result is never too small. Use it when a form gives a range.
Why does the website still say my photo is too big?
Check the number on the website again: some forms ask for 50 KB, some for 50 MB, and some count the pixels instead. If the pixels are the problem, use the Image Resizer.
