Frequently asked questions

Which thumb does SBI want?

The left-hand thumb. If you do not have a left thumb, the advertisement lets you use your right thumb instead.

Can SBI use my thumb print later?

The advertisement says the bank may capture a photo and thumb impression, or an iris scan, at various stages for biometric checks, and that an inconsistency can lead to rejection.

My thumb print looks like a black blob. What now?

Too much ink fills the ridges. Wipe the thumb, ink it lightly, and press once without rolling it. Photograph it flat in even light, and use the clean-up option in the tool.
