Copy the numbers from your own exam notice: sizes change from year to year and between exams.

The file is made exactly 413 × 531 pixels and under 200 KB (you are told if it ends up below 10 KB). It is counted as 1 KB = 1,000 bytes, so it fits whether the website counts 1,000 or 1,024.

Frequently asked questions

Is the CUET photo limit the same as the JEE and NEET one?

For the photograph, yes: 10 to 200 KB in the 2026 bulletins. The signature limit is different, so check it separately on the CUET signature page.

Why does CUET ask for a live photo too?

The live photograph lets the agency compare your face with the uploaded photo and with you on exam day. Take both in similar light and look straight at the camera.

Can I wear spectacles in the photo?

The bulletin says your face, including your ears, should be visible with no mask. If you always wear spectacles, check the current bulletin and the form's own instructions before you decide.
