IBPS PO Photo Size: 200 × 230 Pixels, 20 to 50 KB
The short answer
The IBPS PO/MT-XVI notification asks for a photograph of 200 × 230 pixels (preferred) with a file size between 20 KB and 50 KB, and says the scanned image must not be more than 50 KB. Religious headwear is allowed if it does not cover the face. You also capture a live photograph during the application.
Copy the numbers from your own exam notice: sizes change from year to year and between exams.
The file is made exactly 200 × 230 pixels and under 50 KB (you are told if it ends up below 20 KB). It is counted as 1 KB = 1,000 bytes, so it fits whether the website counts 1,000 or 1,024.

Frequently asked questions
What if my photo is under 20 KB?
Enter 20 as the smallest size in the tool. If the picture comes out too small, try a larger width and height, because a bigger picture makes a bigger file.
Is 200 × 230 pixels a must?
The notification says preferred, so use it. A different size may still be accepted, but there is no reason to risk a rejection when the exact size is easy to make.
Do the same rules apply to IBPS Clerk or RRB?
Not necessarily. Each recruitment has its own notification, and the numbers can differ between cycles. Read the upload section of the one you are applying for.
