GATE 2027 Signature Size: 3 to 300 KB JPG
The short answer
GATE 2027 wants the signature as a JPG or JPEG between 3 KB and 300 KB, from 250 × 80 up to 580 × 180 pixels. Sign in black or dark blue ink only, and let the signature fill 70 to 80 percent of the picture. The tool below makes 300 × 100 pixels, which fits.
Copy the numbers from your own exam notice: sizes change from year to year and between exams.
The file is made exactly 300 × 100 pixels and under 300 KB (you are told if it ends up below 3 KB). It is counted as 1 KB = 1,000 bytes, so it fits whether the website counts 1,000 or 1,024.

Frequently asked questions
Can my GATE signature be in pencil or a coloured pen?
No. The GATE 2027 page says black or dark blue ink only, and the signature must be your own.
How much of the picture should the signature fill?
After cropping, the signature should cover 70 to 80 percent of the image. Crop close around it before you press Make, so it does not sit small in a lot of white.
Is the GATE signature limit the same as NEET?
No. GATE 2027 says 3 KB to 300 KB, while NEET 2026 says 10 KB to 100 KB. Use the numbers of the exam you are applying for.
