SSC Signature Size: 10 to 20 KB JPG
The short answer
The SSC CGL 2026, CHSL and MTS notices ask for the scanned signature as a JPEG between 10 KB and 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm high. A blurred or tiny signature is rejected. One instruction page in the CGL and CHSL notices says 4.0 × 2.0 cm, so check the form's own instructions too. The tool below makes a 354 × 118 pixel image.
Copy the numbers from your own exam notice: sizes change from year to year and between exams.
The file is made exactly 354 × 118 pixels and under 20 KB (you are told if it ends up below 10 KB). It is counted as 1 KB = 1,000 bytes, so it fits whether the website counts 1,000 or 1,024.
Your files stay on your device. This tool runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions
Does the SSC photo have to be uploaded too?
In the latest notices you capture a live photo through the application, using a webcam or phone, and you are not to upload an existing photo. Only the signature is uploaded as a file.
Why do some websites say 4 × 2 cm and some say 6 × 2 cm?
Both appear in the SSC CGL and CHSL notices: 6.0 × 2.0 cm in the main rules and 4.0 × 2.0 cm in one instruction annexure. The file size, 10 to 20 KB, is the same, and the shape is the same 3 to 1, so a clear signature in either is fine.
Can my application be rejected because of the signature?
Yes. The notices say applications with blurred or miniature signatures are rejected, although applications submitted through Aadhaar based authentication are not rejected on this ground.
