How to: Clean Up a Photo of a Document or Notes
- 1Take the photo in good light with the page flat and the phone straight above it.
- 2Choose the photo and keep Document selected.
- 3Slide the line to compare. If the paper is still grey, raise Light a little.

Frequently asked questions
Why is one side of the page still darker?
A shadow falls across the page unevenly, and one fix cannot undo it fully. Retake the photo with light coming from above or from a window, not from one side.
Does it read the text?
No. It only cleans up the picture. To copy the words out, use the Image to Text tool on the cleaned photo.
