Make a Photo Bigger in Pixels (2× to 4×)
The short answer
Choose how many times wider and taller you want the photo, then save. The new copy has more pixels, which some forms and prints need. It does not gain detail, so look closely at the result, and keep the sharpness on to stop it looking soft.

Frequently asked questions
Why does a bigger photo still look soft?
Enlarging spreads the same detail over more pixels. Nothing new appears, so it can look soft when viewed close up. It is fine for a form that asks for a minimum size.
What if I need the opposite, a smaller file?
Use the Image Compressor to bring the file size down to a limit such as 50 KB, or the Image Resizer to set exact pixel sizes.
